We had a great time at the cottage! Being out there on your own, with no neighbours and enjoying the sunrise and sunset with views over the sea was very special. The cottage was very well equipped, especially for cooking, was super clean and we found everything we needed. Communication before and during the stay with Ana was easy and everything was well arranged. Renting a car is a must, as the cottage is too far away from everything else (but then again, this it what makes the place so charming). We talked to Ana before about this, and she was helpful in recommending renting agencies. We would recommend the place for lovers of nature who are looking for quiet and peaceful accommodation!

The cottage was spotless when we arrived and as everyone says, the kitchen is really well equipped and there's a TV with Netflix (you need your own account) so perfect for a night in if you're there for some downtime. The main issue we had was the bathroom - it is really tiny, the shower is directly over the toilet and it smelt faintly of sewage. There were flies that we couldn't get rid of either. Otherwise, the cottage is as it looks on the listing. Really cute, lovely views, clean and comfortable. Also worth noting that you definitely need a car if you want to do any exploring. Its about 15/20 mins down a rocky dirt track. Some of the car rentals on the island won't rent you a car when you tell them where you're staying so get in contact with Alma beforehand so she can recommend a car hire company.

This is a perfect getaway place. House is private and cosy with all the things you'll need. Location is just gorgeous.

Lisa-Marie, Germany on August 2018

The cottage is very quiet and isolated and has a huge garden and a wonderful view on the mountains and the sea. The location is stress-free and silent, in middle of nature. There is a grill that can be used and a well appointed modern kitchen. It is perfect for having a time-out and relaxing. The track to the cottage is bumpy and stony and it is advatageous to have a rover vehicle.

Marie, France on August 2018

The cottage is ideally located for resting. No noise, you just enjoy the top view on the sea, the nature and the barbecue ! The house was super clean, we had everything we needed. And about the host, they waited for us on the port when we arrived by the ferry, so we did not lose time to find the house ! Short advice : rent a car, not a scooter since the road to the house is hard to drive on with only two wheels.

Anna, Germany on May 2018

Just fabulous and as described.

We had a wonderful stay at the Adorbale Cottage. The sunken courtyard protected us from the wind and allowed us to have all of our meals outside overlooking the sea! The surrounding olive trees and stone walls made for breathtaking scenery and it is most perfect location to see the sunset on the whole island! We especially enjoyed cooking in the wood burning ovens and the vast array of hiking trails close by. Ratko and Alma were amazing hosts and provided us with helpful information about the island throughout our stay. This was the perfect spot for our honeymoon - beautiful, quiet and peaceful!

This cottage is absolutely amazing and the location stunning and beautiful. Vis is worth a visit with all its lonely beaches, nice hiking trails and tiny sweet towns. The cottage was very clean and equipped with all you would need and dream of. The kitchen is great, the garden beautiful and you will enjoy the silence and privacy. There was even WiFi in the house and we had good connection with the mobile phones, too. Just the road towards the cottage can be challenging for some cars or drivers as it is only a gravel road for half of the way (approx. 15min). Thanks for a great week!

Monique, France on March 2018

The house in Oključna is a great place to feel the islands remoteness and a true spirit. We got just what we needed, Oključna is a wonderful tiny village. The house is equipped with all the details one can imagine, so you can see the owners have the feeling of hospitality. The beds are comfortable and the view is amazing - personally the garden is one of the best parts of this place (grill!). We had a dog with us and she totally enjoyed running around the garden. The only small setback is the shower, as it is a little unpractical when it is a bit colder and you can not use the outdoor one that gets hot water only in the afternoon when the sun shines in. But thats just a small, practical detail. Overall it was a great experience and totally recommendable!

David, Austria on August 2017

Our time in the house was really wonderful! Its a small house (as you can see in the photos) but has everthing you need to have a great time. If you want to retreat from mankind for a while, this is the place to be. Wonderful view, silence, stargazing at night and the interior of the house are really astonishing and worth a visit. We will come back!

Alex, UK on July 2017

We had a fantastic stay here and it surpassed our expectations. Although small, they've made great use of the space and it is extremely well kitted out, so much so that we cooked two of the three nights we stayed. The outdoor space and barbecue are great, particularly in the evening if you just want to chill out and take in the views. It's a very isolated spot, set on a hillside looking out west to where the sun sets, so make sure you hire a scooter or car if this is your base for exploring the island - this is what we did and it worked perfectly. If we return to Vis (which I'm sure we will at some point) then we'll definitely look at staying here again.

Jack, UK on July 2017

Idyllic little cottage in Vis! It is a bit out of the way so would definitely recommend getting a scooter or car if you don't want a bit of a walk. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped with everything you could need and is much more spacious than you might think. The scenery is stunning with all the olive trees and the sunsets are amazing. The communication and recommendations from Ratko were excellent and overall we had a fantastic stay - hopefully we'll back at some point!

Kathrin, Germany on June 2017

If you are looking for a quiet place this is the perfect place to be. After a 20 minutes offroad way from the main street to the cottage you can enjoy the silence and being in a wonderful Cottage near the sea (15 minutes to the beach). It is a beautiful place to stay and I would highly recommend it. It was just a pity that there was no chance to eat outside because of the wasps. In the kitchen you will find everything you need for cooking and there is also a grill outside which can be used. Thank you for everything! It was a great time on the island Vis.

Satja, Germany on June 2017

The cottage is a great place for couples or families wanting some piece and quiet and that enjoy secluded places. It is not on the beach, but has a great view of the sea (and sunset) and you are surrounded by nature. We especially loved having breakfast outside in the mornings and lying on lounge chairs watching the sunset in the evenings. Besides that, we also enjoyed the company of local cats (especially two very cute and playful kittens) and had fun feeding them. The house itself is almost new, with all the amenities you might think of, and very clean. Absolutely no complaints there. The bathroom is indeed very small, but perfectly usable and the shower outside is an enjoyable alternative. The location is a bit secluded and it takes about 15 min of slow driving to reach the house from the main road, mainly driving on a macadam road. The road is not really problematic for any car, but is definitely more enjoyable with an SUV or an off-road car (we did not enjoy it so much with an almost new caravan that lies quite close to the ground). There is indeed a footpath to the beach, but it was a bit overgrown in June and the beach was nothing special, so we ended up driving to other (very nice!) beaches around the island. Thanks Alma and Ratko for all your help, perhaps we meet again! :)

Eloghene, UK on September 2016

We enjoyed our stay in this cosy little cottage in the hills. It is the perfect place for calm and relaxation. We had delays arriving and also had to leave a day earlier than planned- our hosts were very understanding and flexible. The cottage is very clean and well stocked. The bathroom is a bit unusual it's a washroom with a shower head over the toilet. We didn't use the outside shower as it was cold water but it would have been lovely in hotter months. If you're looking for calm away from noise and hectic life come here. You will have to rent a car to travel to and from the cottage and around the island but the island itself is very small. Thank you Alma and Ratko for a comfortable stay!!!

Huseyin, Germany on September 2016

Very romantic cottage for couples or people who like to be left alone; literally one of the last houses before end of the road. Very friendly pick-up service and check-in procedure. Kitchen is equipped with almost anything you might need and a great grill oven outside. Thanks to Alma and Rattko for the great accomodation.

Rudy, Australia on September 2016

Location: The best location if you're looking for a private secluded space. Beautiful surroundings, amazing views and the beach is only 10mins walk down the hill. Cottage: Awesome space, great outdoor area and outdoor BBQ. The kitchen has got everything you need to cook up a storm. Outdoor shower is a massive plus. Host: Both Alma and Ratko were very helpful. Ratko met us at the port and showed us everything we needed to know. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Jeannie, UK on September 2016

Prior to our stay we were given support as regards transport and other activities. We were met at the ferry port on arrival and guided to our accommodation. When the electricity went out we were visited.

Sofia, Netherlands on August 2016

We loved this little place! Ratko (thanks again for the drinks!) picked us up from the ferry and drove us to the house. It takes about 15 to 20 min to reach the house via a rocky road, but we really enjoyed it. You don't need to be in a rush though ;-) The house was super clean, everything you need is there (even loads of spices and herbs to cook with). We were planning to grill outside at this amazing BBQ, but there was no time anymore, so the charcoals are for the next guests :-) There is a shower outside which is great especially in the afternoon when the water is warm. The only thing we missed a little bit was an (outside) couch to hang on but we solved this by buying some inflatable beds :-) It is super quite, and its wonderful to just sit outside with a glas of wine and do nothing, enjoying the sound of the crickets and the birds. We brought our own music and connected it to the sound system which was perfect! There are some street cats hanging around which we really liked (one of them has astma so we took some extra care of him), we gave them some food, I hope the owner doesn't mind :-) We went to the beach by foot, it is an adventures road downhill, the beach was a little dirty, but there was nobody there and the water was super clear. The other days we went to see some other beaches which were recommended from the house owner. These are beautiful, like the rest of the island! Sooooo many good restaurants, people are really friendly and the nature is wonderful! If you like to be a little more on your own, this is your place!

Paul, UK on August 2016

One of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Wonderful.

Guillaume, France on August 2016

Amazing place for a quiet holiday on a beautiful island ! Thanks to our host for welcoming us, cheers

Leslie, USA on July 2016

The house sits on a really beautiful site, private, and secluded. It has gorgeous views of both sunrise and sunset. The place also has a very well-equipped kitchen and an amazing outdoor barbeque for grilling - perfect for buying and preparing daily fresh seafood ourselves. We love to cook, so the comprehensive selection of kitchen and grilling supplies really made a huge difference. Alma, Ratko, and the owner of the house were very responsive. The only slight issue is the unstable internet connection, it was only an inconvenience because we had to work partially while staying at the cottage. Otherwise, it was a nice luxury to have WIFI there to begin with. The island is small enough that we could get to different beaches and towns fairly easily. We really enjoy the place and would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a private (away from the towns) and comfortable to stay.

Pascal, Germany on July 2016

We had an amazing stay in Vis. Alma and Ratko were great hosts. They picked us up from the ferry and from then on they were always available for us. They gave us many good advices how to enjoy the life on the island and where the best spots are located. Ahhh...about best spots on the island... ...defenetly this nice small house... ...what you can see on the pictures is just a little part of that what you'll feel in this amazing place... ...our advice for everybody: "discover the island from here"

James, USA on June 2016

Alma's cottage is in a beautiful location, surrounded by olive groves and with exceptional views out to sea. It's a fairly quick drive into Vis and there is a supermarket on the way to stock up on provisions. The place has been recently renovated, has a great kitchen and plenty of space for dining inside or on the terrace outside. If you're looking for idyllic solitude on the Island of Vis, this is the spot!
