Beautiful house, great location. We really liked the living room and patio - even if the weather was too chilly for the pool. Big cars might have to squeeze into the driveway, but otherwise everything was great!

Hanne, Denmark on October 2018

Nice house even though a few things are still not finished. The position a little outside Vis is good, be prepared for a tour uphill on the way back. Don’t expect a welcome package, and if you plan to cook most days be prepared that you quickly run out of kitchen gear. Be also prepared that it is very hilly around Vis which makes walking for longer trips very hard. After October 1 the buses do not run that often.

Keith, UK on September 2018

Bright modern space and the swimming pool is a dream.

Diane, UK on August 2018

Great location and a lovely villa. A great show around Komiza when we arrived. Komiza even more wonderful than we expected with old fishing houses and windy streets. We loved the pebble coves around the village that were really quiet in the last week of August . Would definitely return.

Anne-Beatrice, France on August 2018

Very Nice week! Fantastic view and Nice house and pool

Aiddy, UK on July 2018

This was our second visit to Komiža and also our second time at Villa Periska. The villa, a short walk down the hill into Komiža, was perfect for us (we came back!) with everything we needed and great hosting from the team. With two teenage boys we had the perfect mix of being very lazy and having plenty to do in and around Komiža (lots to do without needing a car if you're active). Thank you :)

Ole Petter, Norway on July 2018

takk for fine dager i Komiza. Fantastisk flott Villa og god service og oppfølging. Vi Kommer gjerne tilbake

Charles, Singapore on June 2018

Fantastic modern three bedroom apartment with stunning pool terrace overlooking beautiful Komiza bay!

Amelia, UK on May 2018

A beautifully secluded tranquil setting. Close enough to the harbour but surrounded by nature. Great for families. Good work out to get back up the hill to the villa.

Simon, UK on August 2017

This is a great place to stay on Vis, whether as a family or as a small group. The location is great for Komiza - it is a short 10 minute walk down to the town (downhill on the way there) and the road that it is on is extremely quiet - it's near the end of a dead end, so very little traffic and it's at the start of a nice walk up a steep hill with some lovely views. There are carob trees opposite which were being manually harvested when we visited which was good to watch. The facilities are great - the pool outside is a rarity on the island and was a great way to cool down. There is also a hot grill plate which we used on a couple of occasions. Loads of towels and bedding are provided as well - there is a washing machine and dishwasher too, plus a coffee machine (filter coffee). The villa itself is modern with all facilities that you would expect - all bedrooms are large with 2 double rooms at the front of the property on the 3rd floor and a second twin room on the second floor. There are smallish shower rooms on both these floors which did flood but we didn't bother telling anyone until we left. The downstairs has a sitting area and modern kitchen - plenty of room and large sliding doors opening out onto the outside area where there is a large table and pool. Lots of loungers and chairs to sit out outside too. The villa has a few unfinished touches - with some wires for audio and TV etc hanging out the wall but they are not a hindrance - they would just make the final touches to a lovely property. I think that it would be nice if there were a welcome pack too - water, beer or wine perhaps? There is Air Con in all bedrooms and the sitting room although the villa does stay relatively cool anyway. We missed out ferry on the way out and Ivana (who I think looks after the property for Alma) was very helpful and was there to meet us around 11pm when we arrived. Ratko also came round to help us with the outside cooking facilities and also to help us close some of the blackout blinds. So all great there. All in all, a really great place if you want to relax and have a quiet place to stay on the beautiful island of Vis!

Jenny, UK on August 2017

Thank you for such a wonderful stay. The villa was perfect. Clean and not too far from town. We only needed to call once as there has been a power cut and the pool filter stopped working - and someone came out as soon as we reported it. Excellent service and villa. Thanks also for arranging our transfers. Everything went like clock work. :)

Marion, UK on July 2017

This is the most beautiful place, amazing location, stunning views, so quiet and still so close to a beautiful town with all its restaurants and boats. The villa is unique, exactly like the photos and fabulous, and so quiet and relaxing. Given that it is also only a 10 minute walk from the gorgeous town of komiza with all its bars, restaurants and boats. I'd absolutely recommend this place. The outdoor cooking area was used most days, inside is so clean and cool, the pool Area Perfect for chilling

Villa Periska means "sea shell house" and indeed the house has unusual architecture - quite modern. We loved the swimming pool. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable and and reasonably-sized. There was also the perfect vacation kitchen that was well-equipped. When we arrived, there were a few things that were missing, but after a phone call, Ivana came quickly and brought everything we needed. After we got the drain stuck, Rotko came quickly, fixed it and didn't give us a hard time about it. The house is not in town, but is a (steep) 5 - 10 minute walk from town. This was perfect for us as we preferred the quiet and privacy. It has a great view of town and the sea. We were three couples and all of us were extremely happy at the house. It was difficult to leave.

Kari Mette, Norway on June 2017

Lena, Sweden on June 2017

Rekommenderas!

Iain, UK on June 2017

The House is situated at the back of town with a beautiful view. The outside area is very nice and so it was difficult to drag ourselves away for dinner, though we also cooked on the BBQ a couple of times which was great. If you want to cook at home, there is a market and butchers open till around midday/ early afternoon. The supermarkets and bakery are open till 10pm. There are two open tennis courts around 5 minute walk away in excellent condition. The town is 10-15 walk away and is very pleasant, full of nice restaurants and a nice pebble beach very nice for swimming. The group of 6 of us absolutely loved our stay and cannot fault our excellent hosts Ivana and Ratko, who were very helpful. We hope to go back soon! :)

Janica, Finland on May 2017

We, a group of 6 friends, stayed at Villa Periska for 5 nights in May, before high season. We wanted something really relaxing, beautiful sights, quiet and easy staying without too many tourists. Komiza provided all of this! We loved the town! Everything went perfect with Alma and Ratko, they were very helpful hosts. Transportation to Vis port went smoothly upon arrival and departure. On our way to the house we got a good sightseeing tour. The hosts helped us arrange an excursion on the island's other lovely beaches. House was very nice, clean, just as you can see in the pictures. It had all the essentials we needed and more. We highly recommend!

Laura, UK on April 2017

We had a wonderful stay - the villa is finished to the highest standards and Komiza is a picturesque haven. Ratko helped us with anything we needed and facilitated some incredible experiences. Hugely recommend this stay.

Was great!!!

Srdjan, Austria on October 2016

We had a great stay in Komiza despite visiting out of season and everything slowing down for the winter. The house is a real gem and even though we could not make use of all the amenities (pool, outdoor kitchen & grill etc.), we can only imagine how lovely it would be in the summer months. The house is fully equipped, clean and in very good condition – an enormous TV, fast internet – the hosts are even working on further improvements. Alma and Ratko are very forthcoming and easy going and can provide you with extremely useful information and insider tips for your stay on the island. Amazing hosts whom we’d like to see again. We would recommend Villa Periska without hesitation.

Tunde, Hungary on October 2016

Alma and Ratko are very nice persons and are very easy to communicate with. The check in and the check out went smoothly, the house is easy to find, its location is fantastic, right above the village and the beautiful Komiza bay. The sight from the house is amazing, the environment is calm and peaceful, close to the nature and several hiking trails just start at the house. The house itself is like a gem on the hillside. Its rounded shape is unique and the whole property is very well designed, modern and equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. Actually it was a the most beautiful house we have ever been in Croatia. Thank you Alma and Ratko! We would go back anytime, even tomorrow. We miss that place so much.

Ashleigh on September 2016

The villa is stunning, it has all the facilities you would need for a relaxing break. The pool and outdoor BBQ were perfect for a chilled evening and waking up to the views across Komiza were stunning. Taxis from Vis Town were organised upon our arrival and departure and we were warmly welcomed and advised of local places to eat/drink. Would definitely stay here again next time I visit Vis.

Bruna, Italy on September 2016

We had a truly wonderful stay at Villa Periska! The location was simply perfect, very close to the beautiful town of Komiža (just 5 minutes away by foot) with its lovely restaurants, shops etc. and yet quiet and away from the crowd. The house itself was amazing, just as you see in the pictures, and was very clean and tidy when we got there and stocked with all the essentials. We especially enjoyed the private pool and air conditioning in every room. Alma and her assistant Ivana were very kind and helpful, they made sure we always had everything we needed and even arranged a taxi to pick us up from Vis' port. Overall we had a great time on the island and really look forward to going back next year!

Tim, UK on August 2016

We had a wonderful time on Vis and enjoyed our stay in this lovely villa. Ratko was very helpful, meeting us at the property and then taking us around Komiza to show us all the useful amenities. The villa is in a quiet location just a few minutes walk from the town. It was wonderful to come back for a swim in the pool after a day out exploring this beautiful island. The villa is near a pathway up the hillside, which provides fantastic views across the bay. The villa is very expensive during the high season, which reflects the fact that there are few villas with pools on the island. However we felt that for the villa to be able to justify the price we paid, some maintenance issues need to be rectified. Hopefully this will happen before next season.

Roman, Czech Republic on July 2016

The Alma’s house is fairly new and in a quiet area of Komiža. We have really enjoyed our stay there together with our kids who were the most frequent users of the pool. There is shower next to the pool which is very convenient. When we arrived the house was nicely clean and ready for us, Alma was waiting for us with all the information not only about the house but also with the information about trips around the island which was very helpful. The house is equipped with all the necessary kitchen equipment, towels etc. The host is very nice and any time we needed any advice or help she was ready and always helpful. I really recommend this for family stay.

Tora, Norway on July 2016

The house and location was amazing. We were 2 ppl, but the house is really big and there is room for 6 people. Location is great at the end of the road up in the hillside in komiza. Nearby lots of good restaurants. Easy communication with Alma, and Ratko was a nice host transporting us from the port to the house in addition to recommending places to go. Lovely pool and well equipped house with big kitchen. I will recommend this house to friends and family.

Fredrik, Sweden on June 2016

The villa in Komiza was excellent and the outdoor kitchen and pool was great. The walk down to Komiza was about 10 minutes and a pair of bikes would have been a welcome addition. Ratko was a good host during our stay.

Tony, Canada on June 2016

Let's just say - look at the pictures. The place is a it spendy given the location, but amazing views, pool, kitchen, etc... You won't find anything nicer on the island.

Ruth, UK on May 2016

We both had an amazing time, the house was wonderful - we could not fault anything. Alma was an amazing host and could not do enough for us.

Sara, Germany on May 2016

Kate, UK on April 2016

We had a wonderful week in the ideally situated Villa Periska. The neighbourhood was quiet, it was only a short walk from the town centre, and the view over the surrounding area was beautiful. Alma was extremely helpful and very communicative, recommending the local cake shop and even booking taxis for us from, and back to the ferry. We would certainly recommend the villa to friends and family, although with an open pool and no handrails on the stairs, it may not be suitable for very small children. We will certainly be back when in need of rest and recuperation!

Melissa & Grant, USA on October 2015

Great place! Everything seemed brand new, modern kitchen and bathrooms. Unfortunately, it was rainy most of our stay, but the pool and outdoor space is great. We loved the huge sliding glass doors that gave us nice views of the sea. Our hosts were great communicators and made sure we had everything we needed.

Kathryn, UK on September 2015

We had a great group holiday at Villa Periska! Alma and Ratko were accommodating hosts, communication pre arrival was excellent with Alma helping to organise our arrival to VIS with information and a taxi booking. Ratko met us promptly to show us around the house and town via private scooter tour (for one lucky member of our party including beers!). The house was perfect for the 6 of us, we cooked on the BBQ and spent a lot of time in the pool. The house is well set up to relax at home overlooking the town and ocean. We explored VIS via quad bikes (can hire them in Komiza) and had the best night at Roki's - thanks Alma and Ratko for a memorable holiday - we hope to be back one day.

Leila, UK on September 2015

Alma and Ratko are lovely and accommodating hosts. The house is spectacular, with a lovely pool and view. We would love to stay here again!

Claire, UK on September 2015

I can't really put into words how much we loved Villa Periska, it was the perfect house to get away from it all and totally relax. The house itself its very modern, clean and spacious. Equipped with everything you could possibly need. The patio and pool really give the house the edge, especially as they overlook the stunning bay of Komiza. It's situated at the end of a road, at the beginning of a trail up the mountain so is very peaceful and full of nature. Alma and Ratko were amazing hosts, very warm and friendly and quickly available if you needed anything. We only had to call on them once though, when I turned the hot water off and didn't know to turn it on again! Am already thinking about booking again for next year.

Katherine, USA on September 2015

Alma was very responsive over text and email. Her husband met us at the house and gave us a quick tour of the town on his scooter. The house was exactly as pictured, very modern and clean with good air conditioning. The pool was great with a view over the ocean! (Bring some bug spray, we we did get lots of mosquitoes out by the pool.) We loved how the house was at the end of a road, so we had lots of quiet and privacy. We loved Komiza and would recommend the villa and the town!

Silvia, Spain on September 2015

Felix, Switzerland on August 2015

A great place to spend relaxing days. The terrace, complete with swimming pool and outdoor bbq is so great that sometimes you just want to stay home instead of going to a beach or restaurant, especially since the view is magnificent too. This makes this house perfect for a family vacation where things tend to move a bit slower. Even so, the town is reasonably close and the island offers a good choice of restaurants and activities. Ratko and Alma were great hosts, always quick to help with anything. Ratko even drove up to the house once just to help us get the bbq started. A cleaning service after the first few days was included. Conclusion, I'd rent this place again any time but this time for more than one week.

Etienne, France on August 2015

Very comfortable spot in an excellent location. Alma and her husband are very nice. The location is awesome, on the hillside of the the village, but less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. The Wi-Fi network has to be improved, but all the rest was perfect. Thanks for the great stay !

Dag, Norway on July 2015

We had a most wonderful week at Villa Periska. The place is even better than it looks on the pictures. Peaceful surroundings, excellent view and only 10-12 minutes walk from the centre of Comiza. Very nice hosts. Highly recommended!

Francois, France on July 2015

This house is much more beautiful than what you see on the pictures!! Swimming pool of 3x6 m. Built in 2014, this house has a beautiful architecture and is nice to live in. At our arrival, I was led by Ratko the husband of Alma, on his scooter to discover the little town, which is the best way to discover where you are. Very quite location : this is almost the highest point of the village, giving you a amazing view. You walk less than 10 minutes to get the centre of the harbour. We certainly come back in this marvellous place (most beautiful house in the most beautiful town of the island)

Sheona, UK on June 2015

We stayed here for 4 nights during our visit to the beautiful island of Vis. The villa is brand new and located in a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of Komiza. The inside of the villa is very modern, clean, comfortable and well equipped. But it is the outside space that really gives this house the wow factor! We spent may a happy hour relaxing on the sun loungers, using the private pool and enjoying the beautiful view of the hills and ocean. There is a gas BBQ which was great for al fresco dining. We loved it here, would highly recommend it, and hope to return ourselves someday!

Zoe, Germany on June 2015

Our hosts Ratko and his wife Alma were amazing! On arriving Ratko took us to the town centre and showed us around giving some recommendations for cafes and restaurants which was great. Alma organised taxis for us from the ferry and was always very helpful and informative when I asked questions before we arrived. The villa is just stunning and very peaceful, only 10 minutes away from the port area where all the restaurants and cafes are. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and with our own swimming pool it was hard to leave some days but we ventured out to explore and loved Vis so much. We rented a car and visited the most beautiful beaches and also the old town port which is a great place to eat and explore as well. We can't fault the island or apartment at all... we would come back in a second and even staying there for only 5 nights we feel so rested and relaxed!

Laurence, UK on June 2015

stunning villa with incredible views, really peaceful area and just a short walk to the seafront! hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful when we couldn't get the bbq to work, wish we had stayed longer!

David, UK on May 2015

Ratko and alma were great hosts meeting us late night on arrival. They gave us loads of information on the area and how to get around. They were so enthusiastic about the villa and kamiza. I would recommend the villa and can't wait to return

Joke, New Zealand on May 2015

The place was absolutely lovely! It has everything you need to cook , wash, bath .... the pool was a top hit with the kids , the little village is stunning . we arrived by ferry , a taxi was waiting for us, than at the house we had Ratno looking after us , he was fantastic , told us about boat trips and the village , the island...

Lauren on October 2014

Pool Villa Periska in Komiza was amazing! The house is located at the end of a residential street and at the bottom of hiking trails leading up the mountain which was a great for our morning walks. Komiza was a fantastic place to stay, it was by far our favorite spot in Croatia. The town is picturesque and everyone we met was so hospitable and friendly! I would highly recommend it above Vis Town. Ratko and Alma were very nice and accommodating. When we arrived Ratko met us and took us into town to show us where the grocery stores, beaches, restaurants etc were located and gave us a great overview of the things not to miss on Vis. The house is super modern, clean and spacious. Eating breakfast and dinner on the patio was our favorite part of the day. We were traveling with our 16 month old daughter who took at least 1 nap a day, so having a beautiful home with a great patio and pool was a wonderful way to enjoy our vacation even when baby was napping. We would highly highly recommend staying here and are looking forward to coming back and hopefully seeing Ratko and Alma again! Thank you both for a great stay!
